Blessed Are the Saints – Living a Life of Blessedness
Who exactly are the saints? Are they only the great people recognized by the Church, or does the Bible offer us a different understanding? In this All Saints’ Day sermon, we explore how we are made saints not through our own achievements or moral perfection, but through the saving work of Jesus Christ. As God’s children, we are called to live out our holiness within a community of faith.
Reflecting on the Beatitudes in Matthew 5:1–12, we discover that true blessedness is not about worldly success, possessions or recognition. It is about being shaped by God’s love and reflecting the character of Jesus through humility, mercy, purity of heart, peacemaking and righteousness.
We are not simply called to possess faith, but to live it. Just as jasmine flowers leave their fragrance behind, our lives, when joined to Christ, are called to spread the beautiful fragrance of His love wherever we go.
