Jesus the Good Shepherd

26-04-2026

Jesus calls himself the Good Shepherd—the one who sees, seeks, and saves his sheep. When danger came, he didn’t run; he laid down his life on the cross to rescue us. That’s the heart of the gospel: not a distant God keeping score, but a Savior who steps toward us with open arms.

Today, we witnessed that truth in a beautiful way. In baptism, two people declared their trust in Jesus, giving their lives to the One who first gave his life for them. It’s a reminder that we are not defined by our failures or weighed down by judgment. The Good Shepherd isn’t counting our mistakes—he’s calling us home.

He embraces us again and again. He stands ready, not with condemnation, but with grace. And just as a shepherd provides for his flock, Jesus continues to guide, sustain, and care for us each day. We belong to him—and in him, we are safe, known, and loved.
