It’s the third week in Lent and it has been a traumatic time in the Netherlands, in New Zealand and elsewhere. The readings for this week seem very relevant for the week that was, that is until we hear Jesus speak. After reflecting on this Francis links back to the series theme of encountering God.
On the second Sunday of Lent Francis considered Abraham as a model for getting to know God. This is the second consideration of how God may become real beyond words and images.
