Sermon- December 25th, 2025
The most profound verse in the Bible declares: “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we have seen his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only son with full of Truth and Grace.” God becoming flesh means Jesus became real in every way — physical, psychological, emotional, social, relational and personal. Once God seemed invisible, inaccessible and beyond our reach. But now, in Christ, God is visible, accessible, tangible, knowable and understandable. Christmas means: “God became man without ceasing to be God.”
In the Old Testament, God’s glory was beyond human reach — even Moses could not see God’s face and live. But in Jesus, John proclaims, we have seen his glory. His glory is revealed through his actions, and every miracle in John’s Gospel is a sign pointing to that glory. And God is still at work today — in our lives, our stories, our world. So the question remains: like John, can we say, we have seen his glory? May the Lord grant us eyes to see his glory daily in our lives. God bless you — and have a blessed Christmas!
