Sermon – December 21, 2025

Joseph—A Quiet Model of Faithfulness: Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus, stands before us as a powerful yet often overlooked model of faithful discipleship. He held together what many of us struggle to balance: truth and love, calling and commitment, humility and silence. As a righteous man, Joseph upheld God’s standards while extending compassionate love to Mary, choosing grace over public shame. When God called him through a dream, Joseph did not hesitate—he embraced the call and fully committed to it, even at great personal cost. Through uncertainty, sacrifice, and danger, he remained faithful. Though he played a vital role in God’s redemptive story, Joseph spoke no recorded words, teaching us that true humility is not loud but obedient. In Joseph, we see a quiet faith that acted decisively and trusted God completely—a model worth imitating in our own walk of faith.
