Sermon- December 24th, 2025

John begins his Gospel not at the manger but at eternity itself: “In the begining was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God.” Jesus is the eternal Word and true Light, and though “He was light but the darkness could not over power,” the world struggled to understand him. Yet “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us… with full of Truth and Grace.” God became tangible — one we could see, touch and know. Christmas is simply “God with us.” In his truth our sins are dealt with on the cross, and in his grace his arms are always open to receive us. Though unworthy, we are made worthy by grace, for “But to all who re4ceived him, who believed in his name, he gave ower to become the children of God.” The Light has come — let us receive him and live as children of God.
