Joining Church Worship With Zoom

Dear Church Family

No church service in Aalst? No problem!!
We are all coming to your place (virtually ?).

You are welcome to join in our Online Service this Sunday. It will happen through the online meeting platform ‘Zoom’.

Our worship service will begin at 10:30 as usual.

There will be a backdrop and recorded music playing from 10:00 onwards to test your set-up before the meeting starts. We highly recommend that you connect (using the invitation URL) beforehand to make sure the technical aspects on your side are working smoothly before we kick off.

Zoom is being used because it allows for diverse presentations and some interaction, so your camera and microphone can be used as well as your screen and speakers.

If you have not used Zoom before, please take a few minutes to prepare well before the service starts. You can practice joining at 10:00 on Sunday.

The Zoom invitation will be included in the Sunday Newsletter which you can receive if you are signed up.

You can join the service meeting from your computer (with camera and microphone), tablet or smart phone. When you connect to the meeting by clicking the link your web browser will initiate downloading the Zoom applet. If you are connecting via a computer it will ask to download the Zoom component; if you are connecting from a mobile device it will direct you to the appropriate mobile App Store to download the app. It is recommended that you do this process before the service.

You will not need to sign into an account. A video can be found here if you need further help. For those who may wish to test their audio and video before a service or cell group meeting, there is this instruction. And the link to the main Zoom help page is here.

When you join the meeting you need to select an audio method to use (choose computer audio, do not use dial-in by telephone).

We look forward to this time together as a church family with the Lord.

p.s.If you have any Notices, News or Points for Prayer please email these to the Wardens on Saturday before the service.
