English-speaking church in Eindhoven

Outreach and mission trip from Capernwray

After years of many Trinity families fostering a close relationship with Capernwray in England, Trinity Church recently had the privilege of welcoming students from the Bible school for an outreach and missions week. This marked a significant moment for our community, as it was our first time hosting such an event. Four wonderful individuals joined us, staying with the families of our church members and immersing themselves in various activities coordinated by our Youth support worker, Pamela Armstrong, herself a Spring Bible school student of Capernwray, and along with her family, attending the summer family week for many years.

Under Pamela’s guidance and with the enthusiasm of our church community, the week was filled to the brim with meaningful experiences for our guests . From cultural visits to places like the Corrie ten Boom house in Haarlem and Camp Vught, to service activities such as serving high tea to our wise men and women ministry and visiting the Huis Kamer, a drop-in center for refugees and the homeless, every moment was purposefully spent.

The week wasn’t just about sightseeing; it was about immersion in our community and spiritual growth. Our guests participated in various cell groups, joined us in prayer walks around Eindhoven and its neighbouring cities, and even took part in running our All Age services, including supporting the team in working with Kidzchurch, 1Tim4:12 and TYDE.

One highlight of their visit was attending a one-day event hosted by the XEE group, where they had the opportunity to engage with others in discussions about faith and outreach. They also demonstrated great courage and excitement as they ventured into the city to share the Gospel with its residents.

We are immensely grateful to the families who opened their homes and hearts to our visitors, providing them with a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Their generosity and hospitality played a crucial role in making this outreach week a success.

As the week came to a close, we reflected on the blessings we’ve received through our guests’ visit and the valuable experiences shared.Through their hard work, dedication, and willingness to step out of their comfort zones, our guests left a lasting impact on our community. We hope that they too have found inspiration and encouragement during their time with us. Thank you to everyone involved for making this week a memorable and transformative experience for all. A special thank you to Pamela Armstrong for all the coordination and supporting these students.
