Joan was born in Tanzania. After spending many years in New York, she moved to the Netherlands in 2016 to be with her husband Evans and start a new chapter of their lives together. Joan settled in quickly and made herself at home in Trinity Church Eindhoven, where Evans had been attending for many years. They have two sons and a daughter.

Joan’s passion for teaching and nurturing children has been a defining aspect of her life. A dedicated mother, she has also held various roles such as health educator, mentor, and Co-founder for a Charity, and currently teaches Science at the International School of Eindhoven.

Joan’s love for the Lord and experiences working with children of all age groups and backgrounds have given her a unique set of skills to be a valued member of the safeguarding team.
